Medical Malpractice Attorney Lee S. Atkinson

Lee S. Atkinson owes his approach to practicing the law to lessons learned from his father.

“He grew up on a farm and was the first in his family to go to college,” Lee says. “He taught me the importance of diligence, following through on my promises, and treating others with courtesy.”

Lee applies those principles to his work every day at the firm of Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C., where he engages in a multi-faceted personal injury practice.

Lee represents individuals and the families of those who have been seriously injured or killed as the result of the negligence of drivers, trucking companies, major corporations, product manufacturers, physicians, hospitals and other medical providers.

“I think it’s important for clients to work with a lawyer who understands the nuances of a claim, can provide an objective evaluation of the claim’s merit and implement a strategically sound plan for resolution,” he says.

Lee earned his law degree from the University of Georgia. He is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida.

Before joining Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C., Lee practiced at one of Georgia’s most respected insurance defense firms, where he defended doctors in medical malpractice claims and corporations in other types of personal injury cases.

“I am familiar with defense strategies, and I’m well situated to assess the strengths and weaknesses of both sides of a case,” he says.

When Lee isn’t practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son and their two dogs. He also runs and plays golf.
